At D’lees Paving, our chip seal process offers a cost-effective and durable alternative to traditional asphalt surfaces, combining the same trusted materials with a unique application method. We start by applying a thin layer of hot asphalt to the prepared surface. Next, we evenly spread “chips,” small aggregate stones, over the fresh asphalt.

Using specialized machinery, we compress and compact the asphalt and chips, ensuring a strong bond between the two layers. Once compacted, we clear any excess stone, leaving behind a textured surface. This slightly rough finish not only enhances the visual appeal but also provides superior traction for vehicles, making chip seal an excellent choice for both residential and commercial paving needs.
